About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to garage door services provided by Hamilton Same Day Garage Door, 1051 Upper James St, Office 300D, Hamilton, ON L9C 3A6, Canada. By booking work with us you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, call (365) 675-0337 and ask before booking.
Quotes and pricing
We do not give firm prices over the phone without seeing the door, because the cost depends on which component failed and on the door's size, weight and hardware. Any figure discussed before a technician attends is an indication only.
After the on-site diagnosis you receive a price for the repair before any work begins. That price is what you pay. If additional faults are found during the work, the technician will stop, explain what has been found and give you a revised price for your approval before continuing.
Where any price is described on this website as βstarting atβ, it refers to the lowest configuration of that service and is not a quote for your specific door. Final pricing always follows an on-site diagnosis.
Bookings, arrival windows and same-day service
Our stated operating hours are Monday β Sunday, 8:00 AM β 10:00 PM. Same-day service is genuinely available within those hours but is not guaranteed: it depends on the time you call, the day's existing bookings, your location, and whether the parts your door needs are on the van.
We give arrival windows rather than exact times, because a job that turns out to be more involved than described affects everything after it. If we are going to miss a window we will tell you.
Work we will and will not do
Our technicians will decline work that cannot be carried out safely, or where a repair would leave the door in an unsafe condition. This includes bypassing or disabling photo-eye safety sensors, reusing components that have failed a safety check, and fitting springs that are not correctly matched to the door.
Where a door is beyond economical repair we will say so and quote replacement as an alternative rather than carrying out work that will not last.
Warranty
Warranty terms depend on the specific parts fitted and the work carried out. The applicable terms β what is covered, for how long, and what is excluded β are set out on your invoice or quote for that job. Where a manufacturer provides a warranty on a door or opener, that manufacturer's terms apply to the product itself.
Warranty does not cover damage caused by impact, misuse, unauthorised adjustment or repair by others, or normal wear on consumable components. Ask the technician to confirm the warranty terms for your job before work starts if you want them clarified in advance.
Your responsibilities
- Provide safe, clear access to the garage door and the area around it.
- Keep children, pets and vehicles away from the work area while the technician is on site.
- Tell us about any prior repairs, non-standard hardware or known problems with the door.
- Confirm you are authorised to approve work at the property.
Safety notice
Garage door springs and cables are under extreme tension and can cause serious injury. Nothing on this website is instruction to attempt spring or cable work yourself, and we accept no responsibility for injury or damage arising from anyone doing so. The information here is provided to help you understand what has failed, not to enable a DIY repair.
Website content
The content of this website is provided for general information. Timings, typical causes and component lifespans are general guidance for Southern Ontario conditions and will not describe every door. Nothing on this site forms a quote or a contractual commitment until it is confirmed for your specific job.
The text, design and images on this site belong to Hamilton Same Day Garage Door and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
Liability
We carry insurance appropriate to the work we perform. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under Ontario law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any job is limited to the value of the work carried out.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. Questions about these terms can go to (365) 675-0337 or through our contact page.
